UBS, 5 BROADGATE, LONDON

Building Profile5 Broadgate is a world-class headquarters for financial services firm UBS. The bold design of the 13-storey ‘groundscraper’ is based on the form of a perfectly machined metal object that expresses the building’s internal functions. The exclusive use of stainless steel on the main facade reinforces the design concept by unifying the surface of the building, giving it a strong presence reflecting its bespoke nature and single occupier. An ultra-rational arrangement of the structure and cores provides four large trading floors that can accommodate up to 3,000 desks, plus seven levels of offices.

BLOOMBERG PLACE, LONDON

Project Name: Bloomberg Place, London

Date of Completion: 2016

Project Size: 1,000,000 square feet

Building Profile: Bloomberg Place occupies 3.2 acres and comprises two buildings, connected by glazed bridges across a retail arcade that bisects the site, reinstating an historic route that once connected Cannon Street with Watling Street. At ten-storeys, with a two-storey colonnaded base, six office floors and two levels set back above the cornice line at the very top, the buildings’ height complements neighbouring structures and protects views of St Paul’s Cathedral.

240 BLACKFRIARS ROAD, LONDON

Project Name: 240 Blackfriars Road, London

Building Profile: 240 Blackfriars Road is a 20 storey mixed use building designed as a striking crystalline form and located within London's Southbank.

6 BEVIS MARKS

Project Name: 6 Bevis Marks, London

Date of Completion: Late 2014

Building Profile: A new, highly efficient building designed to provide Grade-A office space and retail in the heart of the City, 6 Bevis Marks replaces an outdated 1980s structure. Its nine floors include three private roof terraces, a sky court on the roof, and double the previous public space. A floating roof structure turns the rooftop into an all-weather, open air, landscaped space with spectacular views.

CANNON PLACE

Project Name: Cannon Place, 78 Cannon Street, London

Date of Completion: Late 2012

Project Size: 500,000 square feet

Building Profile: Cannon Place is an eight-story office building with virtually column-free open plan floors, directly above one of London’s busiest commuter stations serving 27 million passengers per year and offering spectacular views of St Paul’s Cathedral.

System Application: Cannon Place was supplied with an armoured modular wiring system to feed lighting control modules c/w integral data, and an armoured power system for fan coil units.


PARK HOUSE, OXFORD STREET, LONDON

Project Name: Park House, Oxford Street, London

Date of Completion: 2012

Project Size: 300,000 square feet

Building Profile: Park House comprises eight floors of office space with only six internal columns, creating City-standard spaces, including two spectacular upper floors beneath the double-height curved glass roof. Eleven retail units feature shop fronts twice the average height for the area, perfect for drawing in the estimated 200 million people who visit Oxford Street every year.

55 BAKER STREET

Project Name: 55 Baker St – Refurbishment

Date of Completion: Late 2009

Building Profile: Refurbishment of the iconic 55 Baker Street in London which incorporates office space and retail units. One of the retail units has recently been acquired by LAGO – a world renowned specialist furniture manufacturer. The building is unique in its design, both interior and exterior.

System Application: Modular Wiring Systems Limited supplied an armoured power system for this building. The power is all underfloor to feed desk modules and floor boxes. It incorporates a dual earth radial system due to the high concentration of computer equipment. The design had to be very specific due to the limited floor void, in some areas this was as little as 50mm.


DRAPERS GARDENS - LONDON

Project Name: Drapers Gardens - London

Date of Completion: 2009

Project Size: 270,000 square feet

Building Profile: Drapers Gardens is 75 metres (246 ft) tall with 16 floors, three roof terraces and a pocket park, but at 270,000 square feet will have more floor space.

System Application: Drapers Gardens was sullied with Modular Wiring’s Armoured (for Power) and Armourlite (for Lighting) components. All MDB’s supplied where of the pluggable type. Bespoke blind control modular boxes where also put into the mix allowing a fully homogenised modular installation


REGENTS PLACE

Project Name: Regents Place

Date of Completion: 2009

Project Size: 45,500m2

Building Profile: Regent's Place is a mixed use premises hosing business, retail and a residential quarter on the north side.

System Application: The components supplied for this project covered Modular Wiring Systems Ltd’s full compliment of Armoured product for both power and lighting distribution.
